PF70 2019 SOUTH AFRICA SILVER KRUGERRAND PROOF ngc PF70 lunar spacecraft PRIVY
You get the exact one shown here: certification #. SPECIAL KRUGERRAND / R2 SET PEDIGREE. 2019 R1 FINE-SILVER KRUGERRAND WITH RANGER SPACECRAFT PRIVY. NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo. THE KEY COIN IN THE SILVER KRUGERRAND SERIES: MINTAGE 500. THIS HAS THE SET PEDIGREE WHICH IS SIGNIFICANT AS MOST LIKELY FEW SEALED SETS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO GET THE PEDIGREE. So far (March 10, 2020) only 20 sets have been submitted – and I submitted 16 of those! This coin is hard to get in a PF70 grade! This coin was released in July, 2019 and now that 7 months have gone by the census statistics can yield meaningful results on probabilities of how a submitted coin might grade. To date (March 10, 2020) 42 coins have been submitted as single coins. Of those, 21 graded PF70 and 21 graded lower. But that doesn’t mean there is a 50-50 chance, because the single coins have been high-graded out. Only good looking coins were submitted and coins that had obvious flaws were probably not submitted, right? The coins with the “set pedigree” gives a better idea of the natural proportion of 70’s to lessor grades. In looking at the census today we see that of the coins with the set degree that were sent in blind in sealed sets graded as follows. 20 coins total have been graded and of those only 7 graded PF70 and 13 graded below 70. That is 7 to 13 or roughly 1 out of every three coins graded 70. This means that if you send in 3 coins (in sets) that you’ll get 1 that grades PF70 and 2 that won’t. That can make getting a PF70 an expensive undertaking! But statistically it is unlikely according to the posted numbers. See the 5th picture for March 10, 2020 screen capture composite showing the census of the regular coins and the coins with the set pedigree. I can say that out of the 16 sets that I sent in, they were random sets bought in groups of 4 at different times. That is the variable that doesn’t NECESSARILY remain constant. That is to say, that the mint could have vastly improved or could have gotten drastically worse when minting more coins. I have a good many sets remaining sealed that come from various time periods. These could be way better or way worse than what I’ve seen so far. But to play the averages I’ll assume that the ratio will stay the same on average as it’s been in the past. This has been a whole lot of writing and maybe you’re wondering what’s my point. Or perhaps, you’ve figured out what I’m getting at. What I’m saying is, I have the price on this coin set on my operating costs and on the likelyhood of getting additional 70’s on the coins that I’ve held in reserve. So while I’m asking a somewhat high price for a PF70 it is not priced that way out of greed – just statistics and my overhead costs. And with the variables of possible inconsistent quality I may not even have it set high enough to just break even! Are you feeling lucky? I do have sealed sets for sale in other listings. THIS IS CURRENTLY THE KEY COIN AND AND MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT KRUGERRAND COIN IN THE SILVER SERIES DUE TO THE EXTREMELY LOW MINTAGE OF 500. Please note: I will have this same Krugerrand coin for sale in a separate listing for the Krugerrand + R2. If the Krugerrand sells as a set then this listing will be ended out of necessity since I only have one Krugerrand in PF70 grade for sale right now. I sell sealed sets also. THE BIGGEST THING OF THE YEAR FOR THE SILVER KRUGERRAND SERIES! KEY COIN – Ranger Spacecraft PRIVY SILVER KRUGERRAND. The privy mark on the Krugerrand is the Ranger spacecraft. FOLKS, THIS IS BIG NEWS! THIS COIN COMES FROM A SPECIAL SET RELEASED BY S. TO CELEBRATE THE 50TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE MOON LANDING. I WILL BE LISTING THE COUNTERPART TO THIS COIN SO SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS. The mint released the following info about the set that this coin comes from. In 2019, a special edition Crown set is introduced, containing the R2 1oz crown which depicts the earth as seen from a vantage point above the moon. The Apollo 11 module as well as the lunar lander is depicted along with the dates 1964 and 1965 (the years of the Ranger missions), 1969 (the year of the first moon landing) and 2019 (the year in which the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing is commemorated). A 1oz fine-silver Krugerrand featuring a lunar lander as a privy mark also forms part of this set. With the mintage of only 500, this particular privy-marked silver Krugerrand is the current key coin and will likely remain the key coin into the far future.
