2011 South Africa SILVER PROOF 2 rand table mountain privy NGC PF69 WWF 50th
Freshly graded – pristine new holder! 2011 R2 SILVER WWF 50TH ANNIVERSAY – TABLE MOUNTAIN PRIVY. NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo. The NGC census shows pop 8 in PF69 with none in higher grades. 2 coins graded PF68 with none lower for a total of 10 coins showing on the census. This coin is almost never offered for sale as an ungraded example and when it is offered for sale it is always coupled with the expensive gold medal. Mintage:90 This is the rarest silver R2. This coin is interesting because it was struck at the South African Mint normally and then the Privy Mark was struck in a ceremony on the top of Table Mountain! The obverse (front side) features the endangered Blue Crane. In an attempted to get the first PF70, I bought the set and sent the coin in for conservation and grading. Sadly, it only graded PF69 and didn’t set a new high. In addition, these are rarely offered for sale as an ungraded set in order to obtain good candidates for grading. This coin is a duplicate in my collection. I should mention that when I got my first example of this coin that it had not been offered for sale in years. I had to pay a “head hunter” to locate the coin. My goal was to see if I could get the first ever PF70 – despite the odds being low of being successful and the costs being high and the risks being moderate. Having researched the matter and having graded (by NGC after NCS conservation) two of these coins I’ve come to the conclusion that there probably will never be a PF70 for this coin type. I’ll keep my reasons to myself since I compete in the silver R2 Registry sets but I think that it is a valid and accurate assessment. While it is not impossible for this coin type to grade higher sometime in the future, it is extremely unlikely – even if this coin was cheap and plentiful as a raw coin – which it is not in either regard. You may want to check out my other items as I have lots of South African silver coins, included graded and raw coins. I have almost all of the 2021 S. I always have the latest South African coins for sale – all graded by NGC in nice new holders. It is expensive but at least I’m able to offer it for sale in S. African version then you may not be able to view the coins that I have for sale that doesn’t have S. I have well over a hundred South African silver coins for sale. You can look up Post Box Courier or message me for details. That has this for sell with terms more to your liking. By purchasing this you agree to all of the terms above. Africa may not have tracking until it arrives in S. Africa and is transferred to a local courier. This may or may not work and is your risk to take. This item is in the category “Coins & Paper Money\Coins: World\Africa\South Africa”. The seller is “stone-guitar-picks” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.
