Antique Silver Pocket Watch from the Boer War South Africa 1900 Hallmarked
For sale is an antique silver pocket watch from the Second Boer War 1899 -1902 South Africa. It belonged to my great great grandfather’Mr Enright’ who fought in the Second Boer War in South Africa. My great great grandfather was an officer in the British Army. The following specifications apply. Hallmarked Plated Silver Pocket Watch: Beautifully engraved but not currently working it’s been in the wars literally! Solid silver chain (hallmarked also) with a solid silver medallion attached which says’Defense of Mafeking 1990 and is hallmarked. The Defense/Siege of Mafeking’ was one of the famous battles between the Afrikaners and British Army in the year 1900. Despite being severely outnumbered, the British forces managed to stand firm and repelled the attack. Any questions please contact me.
