This is an engraved Silver Medal from the 2nd Boer War in XF or so condition. Has some rim dents and surface scratches & marks but quite nice overall. Measures about 36mm at the base with two top bars “South Africa 1902, Transvaal, ” engraved on them. The medal is engraved around the edge 666I Corpl. T Scott 2BNRS FUSRS. Has a Red, Black and Gold Ribbon attached. Has a nice Victoria head, that appears polished from wear. Britannia extends wreath to British soldiers with ships in the background. No way to tell how much Silver or even the fineness. Definitely not a bullion related piece. Please see the photos to judge the condition of the item. Hallmarked Plated Silver Pocket Watch: Beautifully engraved but not currently working it’s been in the wars literally! Solid silver chain (hallmarked also) with a solid silver medallion attached which says’Defense of Mafeking 1990 and is hallmarked. The Defense/Siege of Mafeking’ was one of the famous battles between the Afrikaners and British Army in the year 1900.
