AU + SILVER 1896 SOUTH AFRICA 2.5 Shillings low Mint Kruger w holder. Superb antique finer grade coin about uncirculated. Low mintage 2.5 Shilling silver coin of Paul Kruger South Africa. These coins are rare handsome and hard to come by especially with superb details on the front and back and well stuck rims. The original low mintage coin has a superb image of Paul Kruger with strong beard hair and coat details. This coin is about the size of a half crown and 32 mm and has a weight equal at around 12 or 13 grams. This coin series was struck in sterling silver. In recent years with population growth coins in this Scarce series have become all but impossible to find in nicer condition.
