You get the exact one shown here: certification #. 2002 SOUTH AFRICA S2R SOUTHERN RIGHT WHALE SILVER 2 RAND. This coin is from my personal collection and has the special R. It is extremely difficult to get this coin in a higher grade. Difficult to get this coin in a higher grade and I speak from personal experience after sending 8 of these off for grading over the years. I just recently sent 5 of these coins to grading – 3 of which were still mint sealed – and got PF68 and PF69 grades only. At the time of this writing (05-01-2022) there has only been 33 coins graded by NGC. Of that 33, only ONE coin has ever graded PF70. The most common grade awarded is PF68, with 14 coins getting that grade. Only 11 coins have gotten PF69. With the census statistics in mind, a PF68 grade is not a shabby grade and you can pretty much forget a PF70 ever being offered for sale. I should mention that this is a great looking coin and I see nothing that readily jumps out at me as a flaw. I only send in nice coins to grading. Since I paid NCS (a sister branch to NGC) to conserve the coin prior to grading this coin is bright and shiny. This coin is a duplicate in my collection. As mentioned, this coin has the R. This collection (at the time of this writing) is currently top ranked – FIRST PLACE – with no ties, in the NGC competitive registry sets for silver R2 coins. At the time of this writing (12-24-2021) there has only been 26 coins graded by NGC. Of that 26, only ONE coin has ever graded PF70. The most common grade awarded is PF68, with 12 coins getting that grade. Only SIX coins have gotten PF69. In fact, more coins have gotten a grade of PF67 (seven of them) than have gotten a PF69 grade! With the census statistics in mind, a PF68 grade is not a shabby grade and you can pretty much forget a PF70 ever being offered for sale.
